Format:Typescripts must be double-spaced throughout on 8 1/2" x 11" paper with margins of at least 1". Musical examples and figures (accompanied by captions) should be on separate pages, with locations for all illustrations indicated clearly in the text. Three copies of the complete manuscripts are required. Regarding style and format for text and footnotes, contributors should consult the Chicago Manual of Style. Securing permission to reproduce copyrighted material is the author's responsibility. Authors' names should appear in the cover letter only. Once an article is accepted, authors should send the text as typescript and email the Microsoft Word document to the editor. Musical examples should be "picture-ready" and should be submitted as picture files (.tif, .jpg) embedded in a single Microsoft Word document that is separate from the article text. Each example should have a caption. Note that we do not accept hand-written musical examples. It is the authors' responsibility to set his/her own examples in a notation software program.
